Memorial Day Weekend is Fresh & Easy

I honestly forgot that this weekend is the Memorial Day weekend. I didn’t have any plans made prior and I am now working all of Memorial Day weekend. I’ve been working since Friday and will work 5 days in a row. It would have been nice to have a day off tomorrow, but I will be paid a time and a half, so that’s well worth it.

I picked up my ex-roommate at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport yesterday. It was really good to see Doriana. Her hair is shorter now and curly. It was a new look for her. I am still getting acquainted with the Sky Harbor Airport. For some reason, I am easily confused when I am at the airport. I try to exit the airport, but then end up going back into the circular hoop. I spent at least an extra half an hour at the airport in which I did not expect.

Before I went to work today, Larissa, Doriana, and I went to the grocery store a block from where we live, Fresh and Easy. Fresh and Easy is the new neighborhood grocery store that is popping up everywhere in the Valley of the Sun. They are also located in Nevada and California. This is by far, my new favorite neighborhood grocery store. It’s small, but it has everything you need. When you enter, the color scheme is very refreshing and inviting. There is green everywhere. Many of their items are organic and preservatives-free. My favorite part about Fresh and Easy is that many of their items are always half off. If the “used-by” date is for day of, the item will be half off. You can get anything from fruit to meats half off. It’s a good place to go if you do not have anything prepared in regards to lunch and dinner for the day of. You can just pick up something from Fresh & Easy that’s half off and prepare it at home. Also, I used a coupon which gave me $5 off with a $20 purchase or more. It was amazing!
